Cui Dongshu, Secretary General of the China Passenger Car Association (CPCA), gave a prediction in an article that the overall car export growth rate will be 10% in 2025, reaching 7 million vehicles.

With the slowdown in electrification in Europe and the US, coupled with the US announcing its withdrawal from the new energy subsidy policy, Cui estimated that China's electric vehicle (EV) exports in 2025 will likely record zero growth under significant pressure. In 2024, the growth rate for pure electric exports was only 15%.
