CN MIIT: CN to Accelerate Deployment of Industrial Internet Platforms, Deepen AI-empowered Applications

China's Ministry of Industry and Information Technology (MIIT), the Ministry of Education (MOE) and the State Administration for Market Regulation (SAMR) published an implementation plan for the digital transformation of light industries proposing that the penetration rate of digital R&D and design tools of key light industrial enterprises will reach about 90% by 2027, with the numerical control rate of key processes being around 75%. About 100 typical scenes will be created, while about 60 benchmark enterprises will be cultivated. Around 50 national and industry standards will be formulated and amended, forming a number of digital transformation achievements. The authorities will accelerate the deployment of industrial internet platforms, and encourage large enterprises, localities and others to combine their industrial and regional strengths to cultivate comprehensive industrial internet platforms, so as to enhance platform capabilities such as equipment access, knowledge precipitation, application development and logo analysis, the proposal said.
