PwC To Resign as Auditor for AIA, LINK REIT, LI NING, and Others

AIA (01299.HK) announced that the Board of Directors recommended the appointment of KPMG as the external auditor of the Group for the year ending 31 December 2026, subject to shareholder approval at the Company’s next annual general meeting.

PwC, the Group’s incumbent auditor, will continue in its external auditor role and will undertake the audit of the Group’s consolidated financial statements for the year ending 31 December 2025.

Additionally, nearly 10 companies, including LINK REIT (00823.HK), LI NING (02331.HK), FOURTH PARADIGM (06682.HK), and SUNART RETAIL (06808.HK), announced that PwC will resign as their auditor.

Last year, China's Ministry of Finance and the China Securities Regulatory Commission fined PwC's mainland firm a total of RMB441 million for its audit of Evergrande Real Estate.
