INNOSCIENCE (02577.HK) was included as a partner in Nvidia (NVDA.US)'s 800V DC power supply architecture list. After its stock price surged 31% last Friday (1st), it opened 4.2% higher this morning (4th) before continuing to hike, and once peaked at $65.6 during the intraday trading session. The stock spiked 12.3% to close at $64.7 at noon, with a turnover of $1.536 billion.

INNOSCIENCE's inclusion in Nvidia's 800V DC power supplier list is significant for GaN and INNOSCIENCE, as it is a new supplier of silicon solutions and the only Chinese semiconductor company on the list, Jefferies published a research report saying.

Other semiconductor companies on the list include Analog Devices, Infineon (IFNNY.US), MPS, Navitas (NVTS.US), OnSemi (ON.US), Renesas (6723.JP), ROHM, STMicroelectronics N.V. (STM.US) and Texas Instruments Incorporated (TXN.US).

Jefferies believed that AI data center power consumption levels will continue to rise, as Meta (META.US) recently discussed its plan to run a 1GW data center using 1MW racks (1MW = 1,000kW, compared to Nvidia's current design for 570kW). This should make GaN increasingly preferred over silicon-based MOSFET solutions.

INNOSCIENCE's entry into Nvidia's supply chain may have been accelerated by TSMC (TSM.US)'s closure of its GaN foundry, the broker noted. Among Nvidia's silicon suppliers, Navitas has been on the list.

The broker estimated the preliminary TAM of AI servers for GaN to be US$2.5 billion, implying that INNOSCIENCE's stock price surge last Friday capitalized potential profits at only a 5x PE. Jefferies agreed that quantifying potential is premature as the 800VDC architecture and Ruben chip design have not been finalized. Mass production is expected to begin in 2027.

Therefore, the broker kept rating at Buy on INNOSCIENCE, with a target price of $54.29.
