CPCA Cui Dongshu: Mainland CN Makes up 68% of Global NEV Shrs in 9M25

In the first nine months of 2025, Mainland China contributed 68% to the global new energy vehicle (NEV) increase of 3.73 million units, while Germany and the US contributed 5% and 4%, respectively, said China Passenger Car Association (CPCA) Secretary-General, Cui Dongshu, in a post.

Cui elaborated that the overall increase in global NEV is primarily in Mainland China, which has contributed around 80% of the global increase in recent years, making it the core focus of global NEV competition.
