China has raised electricity subsidies for some of the largest data centers, covering up to half of their electricity costs, Financial News reported, citing news.

It is understood that Chinese local governments are ramping up incentives to assist tech giants like ByteDance, BABA-W (09988.HK), and TENCENT (00700.HK), which are facing higher electricity costs due to the ban on their purchases of Nvidia (NVDA.US)'s AI chips.
