Among the 70 large and medium-sized cities in mainland China in April, selling prices of commercial residential property in tier-1 cities elevated MoM, while the pace of decline in tier-2 and tier-3 cities narrowed or remained flat MoM, Wang Zhonghua, Chief Statistician of the Urban Department at the National Bureau of Statistics, said.

In April, selling prices of new commercial residential property in tier-1 cities lifted 0.1% MoM, with the growth rate 0.1 ppt slower than in March. Among them, Shanghai, Guangzhou and Shenzhen rose 0.4%, 0.1% and 0.1% respectively, while Beijing fell 0.2%.

Selling prices of new commercial residential property in tier-2 cities shed 0.1%, with the decline narrowing by 0.1 ppt from March. In tier-3 cities, selling prices dipped 0.3%, unchanged from March.
